Every week we have the privilege of hosting a life giving service for our community. our purpose is to reach people who are far from God while creating world changing fully devoted followers of Christ. We do this by helping people to know God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference.
We are changed because of Jesus, and we want to see others changed by Jesus as well. God has called us to be changed through our relationship with Him, and we are called to share that change with others so that they may be changed by Him too.
Our culture is the physical outwork of our vision. It is the set behaviour and beliefs that we have in place to see the outworking of us being Changed Lives, Changing Lives.
We are all on team, first and foremost because we have a relationship with Jesus and we love God. We want everyone serving to be in a growing relationship with Jesus, we care more about your personal relationship with God more than what you can do for the church!
We serve because we love Jesus and accept the gift of salvation He has give us. All our service, love and growth stems from our love for Jesus, our gratitude towards Him and our obedience to His word.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.”
People matter to God and should matter to us! Our ability to love people we don’t know, wouldn’t naturally like is the biggest outworking of the transformation that Christ has done in our hearts. Our hearts should and need to burn with a desire to see others saved and living a life filled with purpose and destiny.
We love others by serving them and we lead others by serving them. We love others by being in unity with them, and always looking for ways to create unity and make it stronger. We need to love others by honouring them, and we love others by including them in community.
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:12 – 13
When we talk of excellence in church, we are not talking about superiority, but rather of ownership. Ownership says, “this is my church, this is my God – what can I do with whatever time, talent or gifting that I have in my hand to add to my church, because I love Jesus?”
Excellence gives us permission with unsaved people, it shows people that you love them and are ready to host them, and it shows that you are worshipping God.
Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
When we love Jesus, are grateful and obedient, we will serve others and show them love through the joy of the Spirit. We can choose joy because of what Jesus has done for us, because we know that serving is a privilege and because we love those around us.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
